Broccoli Salad

(SERVES SIX)
1 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sugar
3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
1 bunch broccoli flowerets
1/2 pound bacon, cut small, fried, and drained
1 tablespoon red onion, chopped
1/2 cup raisins
1 cup cashew nuts

For the dressing, mix the mayonnaise, sugar, and vinegar well. Toss with the remaining ingredients when you are ready to serve. Mushrooms or mandarin oranges may be added as optional or additional items.
